Google APIs and SDKs for mobile app developers

Welcome to google-mobile-dev, a Google Code project for sharing open source samples and tutorials as well as tracking feature requests and bug reports filed against Google's mobile developer products.

Currently, the content of this project focuses primarily on Google AdMob Ads SDK and Google Analytics for Mobile, but we will be adding more product support over time. Please visit the Google_AdMob_Ads_SDK wiki page for more information on these products.

Open Source Sample Applications

Google provides a number of sample applications to show mobile developers how to use the Google AdMob Ads SDK to place ads into their native applications. These applications include:

Ad Catalog

Ad Catalog is a sample project that shows how to incorporate ads into your application. Some examples that are featured in this application placing a banner at the bottom of the screen, and interstitial ads in between game levels, before playing a video, and when swiping screens. UPDATE: v2 of Ad Catalog for Android has just been released! it includes examples on placing banners in different types of layouts. You can download Ad Catalog directly or get a local copy of the source from the ad-catalog-android or adcatalog-ios repositories. Stay tuned for additional examples and features.

DFP Showcase

DFP Showcase is a sample project that features the various creative types you can display in mobile applications with the DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP) Mobile product. As shown in the image to the right, some examples creative types that this application features are expandable ads, image animation, click to maps, and more! You can download DFP Showcase directly or clone the source code from the dfpshowcase-android or dfpshowcase-ios repositories.

iOS Sample Applications

The iOS sample applications found in the examples repository or on the downloads page include a sample application for banner ads and a sample application for interstitial ads. These examples show the basics of how to display a banner ad or an interstitial ad in your application, and also demonstrates how to use the delegates to log whether or not the ad request was successful.
