Create an attractive tri-fold brochure using OpenOffice Writer that shows
how Joomla! is used by Libraries all around the world.

Good source for finding appropriate systems is a Google Search or using the
http://JoomlaPlace.org examples.

Skills Needed

* Good communication skills.
* Creativity.
* Good Public Relations Skills.
* Good Open Office Writer and communication skills.

Difficulty

Basic.

Work Product

Attractive tri-fold that could be used by Libraries to learn and show
others how Joomla! can be used for that purpose. Use Joomla! logo and color
scheme http://www.joomla.org/content/view/259/70/ .

Licensing

Documentation written for this task must be made available under the
Joomla! Electronic Documentation License.

Extra Credit (Optional)

Interview site owners and include their comments on Joomla!.

Open Office Instructions

1. Download Open Office http://download.openoffice.org

2. Download "All Templates" from
http://documentation.openoffice.org/Samples_Templates/User/template/index.html

3. Unzip into your %OpenOffice.org%/user/template folder. 
--> To determine your path, open OpenOffice.org Writer. 
    * Select the Tools-Options menu option. 
    * Click the + sign next to OpenOffice.org to open the sub-list.
    * Click the word Paths. Note the folder name for Templates.

4. If you do not have an unzip utility, you can search Google for free zip tools.
Also, you can use pkware - a free zip utility that uses a fabulous Joomla! website.

1. Open OpenOffice.org Writer
2. Select File-New-Templates and Documents menu option.
3. Select Templates in the first column.
4. Select all_templates.
5. Select trifold_brochure and open.

2. Create a new forum thread in the Google's Highly Open Participation Contest Board
( http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/board,487.0.html ) using the # and name of your
claimed task (ex. 11 - Create a module listing a random set of articles excluding
frontpage articles).

3. Introduce yourself and share the description of your task. If you want specific
help, indicate what would be helpful.

4. Your task mentor (and likely other members of the community) will introduce
themselves to you and provide you with guidance needed to complete the task assigned.

5. This is a necessary part of completing your task. Communication is a key aspect of
an open source community and the forums are the focal point of that communication in

a suggestion (from another GHOP contestant who is doing a brochure), try to use the Joomla! colors from the 
Brand Manual on the Joomla! Logo Page (its a .pdf file) for your brochure. It will be more readable and fit the 
guidelines better :-) 

dunno if it's required but its a thought
