community" with ideas for new community members.

Open Office Instructions

1. Download Open Office http://download.openoffice.org

2. Download "All Templates" from
http://documentation.openoffice.org/Samples_Templates/User/template/index.html

3. Unzip into your %OpenOffice.org%/user/template folder. 
--> To determine your path, open OpenOffice.org Writer. 
    * Select the Tools-Options menu option. 
    * Click the + sign next to OpenOffice.org to open the sub-list.
    * Click the word Paths. Note the folder name for Templates.

4. If you do not have an unzip utility, you can search Google for free zip tools.
Also, you can use pkware - a free zip utility that uses a fabulous Joomla! website.

To use the OpenOffice.org Writer Template:

1. Open OpenOffice.org Writer
2. Select File-New-Templates and Documents menu option.
3. Select Templates in the first column.
4. Select all_templates.
5. Select trifold_brochure and open.

Notice to GHOP Contestants: 

1. Register on the Joomla Forums ( http://forum.joomla.org/index.php?action=register
) if you do not have an ID, already.

2. Create a new forum thread in the Google's Highly Open Participation Contest Board
( http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/board,487.0.html ) using the # and name of your
claimed task (ex. 11 - Create a module listing a random set of articles excluding
frontpage articles).

3. Introduce yourself and share the description of your task. If you want specific
help, indicate what would be helpful.

4. Your task mentor (and likely other members of the community) will introduce
themselves to you and provide you with guidance needed to complete the task assigned.

5. This is a necessary part of completing your task. Communication is a key aspect of
an open source community and the forums are the focal point of that communication in
Joomla!.
