The marketing of open source projects is always hard. Creating 5 minute presentations that demonstrate a small part of the Wicket project will help the marketing effort (who doesn't have 5 minutes to spare). The task is to create a presentation that introduces Wicket, and solves a small problem in 5 minutes. For instance: create a Hello World page. Or create a search form with an advanced mode. The presentation should be recorded with audio and consists of slides. References: OpenOffice.org is a free tool to create presentations, Powerpoint is another one, and finally (the best) Apple's Keynote is also a good presentation tool. We just went over our download limit for the month, so we're throttled to 32kb/s 'til the end of the month. So I may not be able to get the presentation, with audio, up until 1st feb. :( I'll try and get a presentation with a transcription up earlier though... (maybe tommorow) will this be ok? |
