faster select causes compiler error: *interface { } is pointer to interface, not interface #2102

What steps will reproduce the problem?

6g  -o _go_.6 ~/actor.go

What is the expected output?

code should compile

What do you see instead?

actor.go:23: cannot use &exitMsg (type **ExitMsg) as type *interface { } in function
argument:
        *interface { } is pointer to interface, not interface

Which compiler are you using (5g, 6g, 8g, gccgo)?

6g

Which operating system are you using?

linux

Which revision are you using?  (hg identify)

broken on tip

the revision that broke it seems to be 2ccdb29d715c
