Having transparency would make it much easier to blend into the many gnome-themes there are. |

There's a transparency problem with the arrow in case of overflow. I'm using Intrepid with rev 2333, and the normal theme.

The Mac4Lin issue is not specific to our applet. Because I noticed the tray area also doesn't work well with the transparent background with Mac4Lin enabled. I am closing this issue as Fixed for now.
