First for all, awesome work with gitblit, it's the most easiest and user friendly web
interface for git, keep working to improve it you are doing an excelent job.
It'd be nice to be able to compare two diferent commits that not has to be the previous
one. Gitalist (www.gitalist.com) is able to do that, try it and check if it's possible
to add this option to gitblit.

I'll look into offering something like this but it won't be in the next release (0.9.0).
It is not as convenient/flexible as radiobuttons, but Gitblit does have blob history
with "diff to current" links where current is specified as the selected commit. This
follows GitWeb's behavior.
Gitblit currently has nothing like this for trees which is what I think you are requesting.
