issue 49 (amctv.com Prisoner fails) commented on by goo...@replies.cyways.com   -   Thanks for your help! As it turned out, I didn't have rtmpdump installed either. Apparently it's no longer available as a .deb; I downloaded 1.6 from this site: https://edge.launchpad.net/rtmpdump compiled it, then successfully downloaded the first episode. Forgot about those single quotes, too! They certainly do make a difference when you have ampersands in the string. Downloading the individual files was a bit tricky, since the first episode contains a menu on the right that changes the episode, but not the governing URL. I found an episode list with the right URLs at http://www.amctv.com/originals/the-prisoner-1960s-series/. Editing out the extraneous text so I had just the URLs themselves let me write a little bash loop to apply get_flash_videos to each entry. Works great! Thanks again for the help, monsieurvideo!

issue 36 (support for draugiem.lv player) commented on by tryagainmaybelater   -   I don't know if this will be supported since it's music, but thought I might mention that if you're using linux, the files are already available on your local machine in the /tmp/ folder. A lot of music sites like pandora and imeem are like this, and it appears your munidraugi site is also. The file that's playing will be a random series of characters prepended with the word "Flash". That's actually an mp3 file, and all you have to do is rename it and move it to your music collection. I've found it to be a pretty useful tip.

issue 50 (ustream.tv support) commented on by j...@joshtriplett.org   -   Some additional information that might help: The greasemonkey script at http://userscripts.org/scripts/review/61384 seems to have the right idea, and the technique it uses works for some videos. However, some videos have different values in place of the "/0/1/2/" at the beginning; I found one that used "/0/1/1/", for instance. (Fiddled with the URL until it worked.)

issue 49 (amctv.com Prisoner fails) commented on by monsieurvideo   -   You need to quote it like this: {{ get_flash_videos --debug 'http://www.amctv.com/videos/the-prisoner-1960s-video/?bcpid=2517767001&bclid=6012619001ctid=6069547001' }} (Although there seems to be another issue with that video, not sure what's doing on there, looking into it). Data::AMF is a bit of a pain, we keep meaning to replace it with something built-in but haven't yet got around to that.

issue 46 (Brightcove --> Error: Unexpected data from AMF gateway) reported by rimkashox   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. get_flash_videos http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid713271701? bclid=713073346&bctid=709364416 What is the expected output? What do you see instead? It should normally download the video but instead it outputs the following error: Couldn't extract Flash movie URL. This site may need specific support adding, or fixing. Please confirm the site is using Flash video and if you have Flash available check that the URL really works(!). Check for updates by running: /usr/bin/get_flash_videos --update If the latest version does not support this please open a bug (or contribute a patch!) at http://code.google.com/p/get-flash-videos/ make sure you include the output with --debug enabled.
