Introduction

Gereqi (pronounced: geh-reh-kee) is a music organiser and player. It is a clone of the now dead Amarok-1.4 and aims to replace Amarok's features and interface.

Current Features

It currently has basic features available such as:

• Gapless + random Playback
• Media Library creation
• Wikipedia info
• Album cover-art
• System-tray interaction
• Playlist population using Media-library and embedded fileview browser.
• Audio tagging
• Ogg,Flac, m4a and Mp3 file format support
• Local playlist-view history navigation
• Allow auto addition/removal of tracks in your collection

Future

For version-0.5 Gereqi is moving to PySide. Along with it other changes are:

• Improved Playlist-table interactions
• Basic iPod support (experimental)
• Tag Changing

Stable Version

The current stable version is ver-0.4.2 which is available in Downloads. For more information about installing Gereqi see this guide.
