issue 58 (Wii Remote affects menu input) commented on by westonlast   -   The Wii Remote rests on the couch which is at the TV level, so if I'm not careful it points at the screen and interferes. It's just a little inconvenient. Not a big deal. :)

issue 58 (Wii Remote affects menu input) commented on by ekeeke31   -   I suppose you are using the version with the new GUI, right ? When you point the Wiimote at the screen, a cursor will appear and follow wiimote aiming position in real-time so, off course it will interferes with other controllers being used at the same time, doesn't that seem logical to you ? There is absolutely nothing I can do to prevent that (how I'm supposed to know you are using the wiimote or not ?), so just don't point the wiimote to the screen when you want to use other controllers...

issue 57 (Zombies sound bug) changed by ekeeke31   -   Yes, I knew about the scratchy Konami logo in Zombies (and it is quite hard to find a fix, seems to happen in all genesis emu except Kega). I didn't knew it would affect other Konami games after that though, it might help finding the cause, so thanks for the headup...

issue 58 (Wii Remote affects menu input) reported by westonlast   -   When the Wii Remote is pointed at the screen, other methods of menu control (Classic Controller, etc.) don't work until the remote is pointed off screen. It would be nice if all menu input methods worked regardless of remote position.

issue 57 (Zombies sound bug) reported by westonlast   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Load Zombies Ate My Neighbors 2. The sound glitches towards the end of the Konami logo 3. Load Castlevania Bloodlines 4. Sound is now glitched in Castlevania If you load Castlevania Bloodlines on its own, the sound is fine. Zombies Ate My Neighbors appears to cause this. I'm using the latest version from SVN on the Wii. Settings: YM2612 High Quality PSG Noise Boost Off PSG 1.00 FM 1.00 Sound Filtering Off (Otherwise, the sound is great!)

issue 56 (Emulator needs updated USB libs) commented on by ekeeke31   -   You probably have installed another devleopment environment that is messing with Devkitpro's one. The compilation guide is more generally for people who never that kind of stuff before. Anyway, you should try that: 1) copy the content of the /trunk directory into C:/devkitpro/msys/home/(your UserName)/genplus/ 2) run msys.bat from C:/Devkitpro/msys/ 3) type 'cd genplus' then 'compile_all.bat'

issue 56 (Emulator needs updated USB libs) commented on by czeluff   -   Was going to compile it myself; however, your makefiles are not compatible with nmake, the Windows makefile executable. It gives the error, "NMAKE Fatal Error U1000, syntax error : ')' missing in macro invocation". I guess this somewhat common... i'll load it all up on my iMac (UNIX) and give it a go.

issue 56 (Emulator needs updated USB libs) reported by czeluff   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Using a WD 320gb Passport USB drive. 2. Format as FAT32 3. Load roms onto drive What is the expected output? What do you see instead? It's expected that the USB drive will mount like it does with all other emulators. Instead, when I press "Load From USB", it selects the SD card instead. What version of the emulator are you using? 1.3.1 Please provide any additional information below (video settings, console region,...) 480i default video settings, 4.2U NTSC.

issue 55 ("Exit to loader" exits to GameCube IPL.) reported by ccfreak2k   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Load genplus-gx from svn compile on devkitppc r19. 2. Select "exit to loader" What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The way it worked before was that it exited to whatever loaded genplus-gx (in my case, sdload). Instead, it now goes back to the GameCube IPL as if I had selected "reset system". What version of the emulator are you using? Latest as of this date. Please provide any additional information below (video settings, console region,...) It might have been a change in libogc, but I don't know for sure.

issue 54 (DVDx v2 failed to mount DVD press A to continue) Status changed by ekeeke31   -   yes, application that fails with the new DVDX should be recompiled with the new libogc/libdi, this is not DVDX developper concern so don't bother them with that, it's up to application developper to use up-to-date libraries. Anyway, it's not an issue with the emulator code and it's currently already fixed in the current revision if you follow the Compilation steps. However, I'm planning to release a beta build with the new GUI to fix all these annoying issues that popped up since the last "official" build, which is now using terribly outdated libraries.

issue 54 (DVDx v2 failed to mount DVD press A to continue) reported by David999...@btinternet.com   -   What steps will reproduce the problem? 1.have an idiot upgrade your wii to 4.2 2.spend a week getting a functioning cIOS 250/249 working 3.install Hackmii/boomii/HBC/DVDx using the 4.2 package, everything works including MplayerCE with film DVDs What is the expected output? What do you see instead? expected was that genesis plus would still be able to mount my standard short name basic ISO file DVDs and my nero hacked long filname support but old header style ISO DVDs of roms (good when you have multiple versions or each rom) What version of the emulator are you using? latest off HBB and tried latest off here Please provide any additional information below (video settings, console region,...) European PAL 50Hz emu works well off SDC and USB just not off DVD anymore other Homebrew apps mount DVD no problem I guess after a week or so research that Genesis Plus needs to be recompiled using a new DVD filesystem libraray in order to take advantage of the new title DVDx v2. thinks its a minor tweak but software dev was never my strong point I don't know enough about this area to know what i need to recompile. with this being a mature emulator all the forums are full of out of date rubbish and rants from 16 year old kids who's main response to anything seems to be "read some info before posting! newbie" SMS plus is similarly afflicted and DVDX developers contact details lead to dead ends any help? ta dave
