What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Gears 0.4.16.0 on Mac Leopard 10.5.4
1. Log in to GMail running in Fluid.
2. Click on "Offline New!" link.
3. Permit shortcut creation.
   Result: shortcut appears. Finishing installation...
4. Leave my desk.
5. Return to my desk.
6. Notice shows:
Failed: Failed to load required resources
   Failed to enable local store
   [OK]
7. It is not OK, but I click the button anyway.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output: A "success" message.
Actual output: Fail.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Gears 0.4.16.0
Mac Leopard 10.5.4
Fluid 0.9.2.5

Please provide any additional information below.
I tried it again. "Finishing installation" appears to complete. No error
message. No success message, either.

So I tried it yet again. After viewing "Install offline access for
Google.com Mail", I click "Next" and the installer window disappears. Is it
telling me that initialization is not needed? Hard to say.

It appears that I now have an "Offline" settings tab, so I guess it is
initialized. Positive confirmation would be useful.

Happened to me too, after switching to new interface (it worked before). On Vista.
Revoking gears access to gmail and re-enabling it doesnt fix it.

Please file a new bug report with all relevant details rather than adding information
to an existing closed report.

Although your symptoms may be the same as this bug, the underlying cause is probably
different.

Before filing a bug please review Issue 801 , Issue 766 & Issue 809 to make sure you
aren't running into a known issue.

Deleting gears' gmail folder did the job...
