VS 2010 is partially using WPF and DirectWrite. Therefore gdipp could not render fonts in theses components. However, it seems some parts are still using GDI, that's why fonts in solution explorer are rendered beautifully.

Found evidence here: http://blogs.msdn.com/jasonz/archive/2009/02/20/a-new-look-for-visual-studio-2010.aspx. I haven't tried hooking WPF and DirectWrite in gdipp. The enhancement would be not possible to happen in the near future.
