Workflow for creating Lexical Groups for Checklist Bank

  1. Index of ChecklistBank names is exported to GNI for local TaxaMatch grouping
  2. TaxaMatch results are FORMATTED HOW and returned in WHAT FORM?
  3. What is the CLB process once it gets the results returned from GNI/TAXAMATCH

Assignment of Preferred form of a Lexical Group

The terminal "taxon" of the Nub taxonomy is not a single name record but a lexical group. To achieve this in a manner that is congruent with the overall structure for representing taxonomic data in general, the lexical group identifier will be equivalent to the namestring identifier of one (preferred) member of each lexical group.

Manual curation of lexical groups in Checklist Bank

The CLB administrative console will enable lexical groups to be managed manually by one or more editors.

One or more group members may be removed from an existing group.

These members may be added to another existing group

These members may be used to create a new group

A name may be added to a group
