What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. run ganttproject
2. open an existing file
3. export in PDF or iPDF (idem crash)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
in the little pink window: something went wrong
in the log : Log to file has not been configured, sorry. If you started
GanttProject from console, try looking there
in the console : (when praha is run with an ganttproject.bat):
scheduling job=org.ganttproject.impex.htmlpdf.ExporterBase$3@f7d41f
group=net.sourceforge.ganttproject.gui.GanttStatusBar$ProgressMonitorImpl@875750
scheduling job=org.ganttproject.impex.htmlpdf.ExporterBase$3@f7d41f

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
praha 728

Please provide any additional information below.

I have the same problem for ALL export filetype options. I don't however have
the log: I get the same message about it not being configured and don't have
the time to sort it out tbh.

Quite frustrating as I *was* using the latest stable build but that has a
glaring error (the fact that a 1 day task can only start and finish on separate
days) so "upgraded" to this for that functionality.

Not too much information. Can you share a project file or run ganttproject.bat
with -log -log_file C:\ganttproject.log parameter (which hopefully will
configure log to file and we'll be able to see what's wrong) ?

OK so I pasted " -log_file C:\ganttproject.log" between "-log" and " %1
%2....." in the batch file in C:\Program Files\GanttProjectPraha. I then saved
this and double cliccked it to run Praha from here.

1. Is this the correct thing to do?

2. Is the attached .log file the information you were asking for?

It ocurred to me that the problem may have been that I was trying to export to
a network drive (which was successful in 2.0.10) so this export was pointed at
my local desktop. It still failed.

Thanks for the log. Yes, that's what I asked for. Are there any spaces or
non-English symbols in your file path by any chance?

No worries, there are no spaces or non-english characters in either the source
or destination file path.

However, they are on a network drive - will this have any impact: I can open,
edit and save the project from this location but I wonder if exporting is
different...?

I'll try to export to a local folder with no spaces or foreign characters in
the path and let you know my mileage.

Exporting should not be different, but who knows. Yes, please try exporting to
a local folder.

No dice :( I exported to local and network locations without any unusual
characters ("name.version" naming convention) and it didn't like any of it.

I'll do it again later with the logging switched on and post the file up here...

Hi folks, I had the same problem, and after some tries it was possible to
produce the reports:
(1) Problem happened when saving to "_temp" folder, then using "temp" instead,
it worked.
(2) If it does not work to you, try to EDIT > CONFIG > GENERAL > CUSTOM DATE
FORMAT.
(3) If it does not work to you, try to set "Open Microsoft Project Files"
during the PRAHA setup.

Hope that works for you.
