Agreed.
example: I have assigned resources (people)and set their "unit" (utilization) 
as a percent. I would love to be able to then calculate, in a custom column on 
the resource table, how many hours that is for each person.  this would be  
duration(days)*8hours*Units(utilization)/100(percent)

Include a switch so that you have the option to enter in hours spent instead of 
percent time.  We use this for resource management and it would simplify entry 
for those who do not work full time.
