Usually Gaim allows the viewing a list of the logs available for each buddy sorted by the date the conversation took place.

The Gaim-TimeLog plugin instead allows the viewing of Gaim's logs by selecting an account and a time range and then sorting the conversation logs within that time range by buddy.
