What does "test AIR and standalone (flash projector)" cover? Should I already be able to use GA for Flash in a standalone projector?

are any of the contributors currently working on an implementation for _setCustomVar() ? The Google Analytics API docs show _setVar as deprecated and I'm working on a project that could really use _setCustomVar. If no one is currently working on this implementation, I'm going to roll up my sleeves and give it a shot. thanks!
