Как не пытайся - ссылки всегда стандартного цвета, можно изменить только фон.

Наблюдаю проблему еще с ветки 3хх.

Копание кода и гугла ни к чему не привели. Возможность сменить цвет есть, но она или игнорируется, или какой-то глубоко зарытый баг в API/WTL/ATL... В гугле тоже есть вопросы, но нет ответа.
