Introduction
If you don't know Actionscript (or don't like it) but you would like to play flash video on your site, you'll probably find Flivpee useful. All the player widgets use JavaScript and you will style them with CSS. The goal for Flivpee is rapid deployment for developers without Flash / Actionscript knowledge. I believe there to be a performance benefit as well, though I have no benchmarks to prove it.
Your users will need Flash 9.

Version 0.8 has been released. I've had this ready for a while but I thought it was my duty to provide an example of the new features. I'll have an example soon, but in the mean time you'll just have to trust me. New features:
- Audio playback (mp3).
- RTMP playback for audio and video.
I tested the RTMP playback with a service I subscribed to for the purpose, but I haven't yet tested it in a real world scenario. If you're going to use this and it doesn't work for you I would love to help. Contact me in the Google Group or e-mail me.

Version 0.7 has been released. This is a complete rewrite over the previous versions. If you installed the old version, you should consider upgrading.

I'm preparing a new release, so you'll see aspects of this site change in the coming days as I update the different sections incrementally. If you're thinking of using Flivpee, please wait a little bit. This is necessary because the new release is a complete rewrite.

I'm re-writing the player. I'm going to take it off haXe because the Flex SDK is open and I think it'd be easier to debug the JavaScript if I just hand-coded it all.
