Project FlightSchool
FlightSchool is an open-source web application aimed at flight schools and air clubs, providing a complete online scheduling, accounting system, content-management and online community solution. The application was originially developed as a project for Software Engineering for Internet Applications class at MIT, taught by Philip Greenspun, and is currently being used by East Coast Aero Club. FlightSchool v2.0
FlightSchool v2.0 is scheduled to be released in Q3 2007. Major updates include
- Completely redesigned site navigation
- Improved billing module now supporting batch-entry of billing records
- Expanded Content Management functionality, allowing more intuitive content editing
- New AJAX-enabled scheduling interface improving performance and allowing editing reservations without leaving the schedule.
- Redesigned User Administration component, accelerating most common user management tasks
