This is an MXML compatible set of data filtering tools. The idea is to have a filterable data set that can be used as a dataProvider to grids, lists, graphs and so on. That filterable data set then has a small set of adapter classes it uses to talk to controls like sliders, text inputs, check boxes, combo boxes (or any UIComponent) that will act as the input for the filter.
