Related to "MapGuide? Enterprise/Open Source integration" Futures item, please consider using Kenneth's Maestro API (http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/wiki/maestro) since it's more or less mature, well tested, managed implementation. There's a small usage example I've left few days ago: http://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/wiki/maestro/MaestroAPI/samples/RuntimeMap - it's not about feature sources, but more about general usability pattern.
