What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Firebug
2. Note the tooltip text
3. Enable/disable one of the panels

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Tooltip text does not reflect the new enablement status.

Discovered during a deep dive into issue 1754 .

I changed the status from Accepted -> Started. I don't understand what Accepted means, "we're thinking this is something we ought to get around to do"? Well that's all bugs really ;-)

If the Owner really is not working on this bug, Triaged would be better, so we don't hold a release for your result.

I removed Rob as owner because I don't believe he's going to fix this.
I set this as blocker because I believe it's important for tracking down panel activation issues.

I can't reproduce this problem.

Here is my str:

1) Start Firefox, check Start button tooltip, it says: "Open Firebug"
2) Open Firebug (F12), check the tooltip: it has info about all activable panels on/off
3) Disable or enable a panel, check the tooltip: the activable info is properly updated.

I see now it's working correctly for these steps. Though I guess because the Console panel still requires JSD, the tooltip still says "Script: On" even when the Script panel is disabled. Furthermore the Cookies panel still says "On" even when Firebug is disabled. Is that correct?

Also in step one Firebug showed more info before. This seems to be due to delayed loading.

Fixed at:

No it isn't correct, but I can't reproduce this.

Yep, possibly. Any tips what else could be displayed when Firebug is deactivated?

I am closing this one, but let me know if there is anything else we should do.

(this fixes firebug/closeOpenOpenSwitchTabsTwice.js failure)
