Release PackagesSince the various systems integrate together, they are released as a package in a single ZIP file. That way you always know that you have matching versions of everything. Version 4.1Tested On: PennMUSH 1.8.2 p 8 Download Version 4.1 - Jobs - Fixed the job system installer, which wasn't setting the functions object wizard.
- Room Parents - Fixed the tie-in with the +map command (it was using LEVEL instead of AREA). Fixed exit spacing to handle 4-letter exit names.
- Weather - Fixed the weather installer, which wasn't setting the object wizard and had the override turned on by default.
Upgrade Notes : I wouldn't bother upgrading for this version. If you really want the room parent changes, just grab the EXITFORMAT and NAMEFORMAT attributes manually. If your weather or jobs system is malfunctioning, just set the Job Functions and Weather Generator objects wizard, and use +weather/clear to turn off the weather override. - Meetme - Meet other players for RP.
- Autospacer - Automatically insert blank lines between poses/says/emits.
- +news - Softcoded +news system.
- Weather - Simple weather generator.
Important Bugfixes - FUDGE - Fixed bug in opposed +roll. It was using the attackers skill level for both the attacker AND defender. Ooops.
- Staff Commands - Fixed +summon so it would actually summon people.
- Cookies - Fixed bug with cookie bbpost. It would often have a phantom person listed as #1.
- Player Setup - Fixed two bugs in the setup_attr function. If you had an attribute that was an evaluation, it wasn't properly evaluating it when it initialized on existing players. Also, if you had a visible attribute, it wasn't initializing on existing players at all.
Other Changes - Staff Commands - Added +send command to send players around.
- +help - Now supports partial matches (so +help census or +help cen will find the help file for "+census"). Fixed MUX compatibility bugs. Should now work on TinyMUX.
- Alts - Made the job notice optional.
- Jobs - Priority, status and title commands were not updating activity. Now they do.
- Globals - Changed +idle to +afk and RP_OK to IC. Added +fullname. Added support for showing IC in magenta if someone's in a TP Room. Split +RP into +IC and +OOC. Created a separate data object for the data.
- Functions - Added append() and wikifi() functions. Fixed helpfile typo.
- Room Parents - Made the TP Room parent visual so the lhelp would show up. Fixed the places help so it will get copied over to the +help system.
- A couple other minor wording tweaks in other systems.
Version 3.0Tested On: PennMUSH 1.8.2.p3 Download Version 3.0 Notes on upgrading from 1.0 to 3.0 Although some of the systems are still there, this was effectively a ground-up redo of everything. The systems integrate together now, and there are a lot more systems available. - Bugfixes and new features to the old systems: Jobs, Help, Global Functions, +finger, etc. Nothing too major, but there are some nice new features, particularly with +jobs (like tracking new jobs, and closing a job with a comment).
- FUDGE Skills and Chargen!
- New Systems! Globals (like +who/+where), Room Parents, Player Setup, +map, +cookies, and more. Pretty much everything you need to set up a game (I think). See Systems for a complete list.
- Better integration between systems. They are released as a package now ensuring they always play nice together.
- Better installation. Help files are auto-installed onto +help, default attributes are auto-installed onto the player setup object, etc. The only things you have to set up manually are external systems like Cron and BBS.
- Better ability to patch in the future. All user data (I hope) should be on separate objects so you can save it easily during reinstalls.
- Better documentation (with more coming on the back-end design stuff when I have time) on the new website (see below). Everything you need to know about which systems require which other systems and such is on there.
- I also put in a WOD skills/chargen system, though I don't intend to support it. It was just something I threw together for a friend, but I thought someone else might find it useful.
- Some of the other old systems, like +tpview and +awards have been mothballed and now listed as Unsupported.
Version 2.0I skipped version 2.0 because some of the individual systems were labeled with versions ranging from 1.0 to 2.0. Version 1.0Tested On: PennMUSH 1.7.4p15 Download Version 1.0 The systems were previously archived on my homepage in some disarray. Version 1.0 is simply a collection of all the systems that were posted there. The individual systems their own version numbers, and there isn't much integration between them. This archive exists mostly for historical purposes.
