Using Excel to handle stories/task in your scrum compilation? Well, so did I. Until I realized that the Product Owners forgot to let go of the files, didn't find the files, didn't know "what to update" etc. Fairy Tales were created from all my hassles with Excel and the common mistake... "everybody knows Excel".

Fairy Tales provides an easy way to get rid of Excel sheets for story handling.

Trouble with installing stuff?

All you need to run FT is Windows XP (or higher) with IIS installed. You don't need a data base, or any other hassle. The output of Fairy Tales is one (or many) xml files that you can store wherever you want. (In a svn/csv repository for example ;))

Hurray!

(Oct 24 - 2008) Today we launched the RC3 of Fairy Tales. All reported issues are solved and the release narrows in. Waiting for some user input before releasing the full bundle!

Today

(April 27 - 2008) I released the first Release Candidate on this project. We still got some minor issues to address until final release. But the functionality is there. Check out the release plan (http://code.google.com/p/fairytales/wiki/Release1) for a full update on what's included.

Requirements

It runs under .Net 2.0 and requires Ajax, and therefore you need .Net 3.5 and the latest ajax-compilations. You are encurraged to visit ajax.asp.net to download that toolkit.
