We aim to regularly provide freely available maintenance releases for the enterprise content management system eZ Publish.

During the year 2009 eZ Systems, the company behind eZ Publish, has decided to stop providing minor maintenance releases. As a consequence of this decision, people without eZ Publish Premium need to patch their installations manually, use the source files from a Subversion repository, or upgrade each half a year to a new major release with potential backward compatibility issues.

By providing community maintenance releases, we will try to fill the gap for those people that do not want to subscribe for eZ Publish Premium, including computer hobbyists and small to mid-sized businesses.

The next community maintenance versions, 4.1.5 and 4.2.1, come out early April.

A first test build of 4.2.1 is provided in the downloads section. Please report any issues you discover with this build in our issue tracker. Issues that are not specific to the eZ Publish community builds provided here should be reported in the eZ Publish issue tracker.
