exchangeItHelp
exchangeIt is an application to get email in your OWA inbox. It currently works with OWA 2003 as long as you have WebDAV enabled. For the inbox URL, enter the full path to your inbox, including "/Inbox" on the end. You can easily find this by going to OWA and right clicking the Inbox link on the left hand side, and copying that URL. My inbox URL looks like: https://mail.company.com/exchange/Brian.Yarger@company.com/Inbox I'm working on ironing out the bugs and adding to the support. OWA 2007 is also not yet supported. In version 0.6, forms based authentication was added, as well as a background notification service for unread emails. In version 0.7, support for self signed certs was added. |

Hi Byarger,
Evertime i try the error code is..
Caught IO Exception: Not trusted server certificate.
I opened my 2003 OWA in the normal G1 browser without any problems.. The certificate is trusted..
Michael
i keep getting a 440 error
I'm getting the 440 error too.
"Caught unhandled RuntimeException?: Error - got back status code 440"
It might be related to ISA server presenting different forms for login than straight Exchange. We use OWA through ISA server.
I would love to have an App like this, so Kudos on developing this.
However I keep receiving the same error: "Caught unhandled RuntimeException?: Target host must not be null, or set in parameters."
I have made all the changes you suggest above and still receive this error.
Any Ideas?

This app is ingenius, however when trying to open a message the app force closes. Also can I get the inbox to be up when I click on exchangeit icon. I love where this app is headed and look forward to upcoming updates to fix these problems.

I still receive 'not trusted server certificate'.
I can see my messages but I can't do anything with them besides open them. Can't reply or forward.
i'm also getting the error saying the server certificate is not trusted. OWA loads fine in the phone's browser though.
The Outlook loads fine in the browser...but when I try to sign in with this application it says IO exception Error: hostname in certificate does not match. Help!!!
ah, I didn't realize that it doesn't work in Exchange 2007. That's why I only get errors. I can through the browser check the mail. If you ever get this working it would be great to have. For now no exchange client is a dealbreaker for my brother-in-law.
Same problem with the certificate
nice idea. uninstalled for now because it doesnt support self signed certificates
I am also receiving many of the same 400, 500, and force close errors. Never got it to pull any mail, this is on EXCH 2003 also. Looking forward to future releases...
caught unhandled runtimeexception: error authenticating to exchange? help?
Awesome concept. I'm getting the certificate error too.
Good job with it so far!
I can't get it to work........keep getting a runtime error......let's get this fixed.
can't open the messages but i love this app so far
I am getting certificate error too, any fix around.
I was able to get this working I can not reply to the e mails.
How do I send messages or create new messages
Did anyone find the solution to the Error: "Caught IO Exception: Not trusted server certificate"? I have a feeling that I need to install the certificate through the browser but I wasnt able to find this option when the Security Certificate prompt appears in the browser.
i can see my messages when i refresh the page but when i click to open them i get a forced close. hope to see this problem fixed soon!
Thanks for adding self signed certficate support. Now I can use this app!!
Any chance this will support attchment downloads in the future?
I've been getting "Caught unhandled RuntimeException?: Illegal character in path at index 76:https://mail.mycompany/exchange/my email/inbox/
Thanks for providing the source code. I was able to work around the "Caught IO Exception: Not trusted server certificate" by updating the code to Trust all sites (by implementing a blank X509TrustManager?). I had to provide the URL as https://mail.server.com/exchange/userid/inbox. Which now gets me the list of messages. But I don't still get the full email. I will keep working on it to get that straight. Thanks again for making this code available.
Great app, but mails without a subject doesnt show in your app..
Thnks dude, keep the good work going!
Good start, but iso-8859-1 is not supported. I see a "=?iso-8859-1?Q?" prefix and encoded signs in the subject, which is very annoying...
A tip on how to find you email-strin also: - look at the URL when hovering over your inbox. In my exchange environment the full string is never visible after the page has loaded...
I keep receiving caught IO exception: host is unresolved- am I missin something here?
Is there plans to get OWA 2007 support?
Loads the messages in my inbox on my Droid, which is neat. But I am unable to view any messages when I click on them it loads the exchange webmail login page.
Please add exchange 2007 support!
OK< am I missing something? I installed the app, put in my info, now what? The app does not launch to a usable interface, is there something more I need to do?
Any idea what the issue is with some people being unable to view the messages (messages show up in inbox but loads webmail login when trying to view) This app seems to be the best solution out there for OWA access but I can only view the subject lines.
Caught IO Exception: SSL handshake failure: I/O error during system call, Broken pipe
any idea on how to solve this error "Caught IP exception:SSl handshake failure: I/O error during system call, Broken pipe". looking forward to see your guide
Yes, I am getting the broken pipe also. Any solution? Thanks!
The app loads fine and I can see the email headers. However when I tried to open the email it shows up blank
Thanks for your wonderful app. I got a little comment. When I use its forwarding feature I found that as compared to what I could achieve from an outlook, the header information is missing like mail sent time. Any chance that this could be incorporated?
I get "Caught IO Exception: SSL handshake failure: I/O error during system call, Broken pipe". I have the feeling this is hard to implement because I've never gotten it working on my iPod Touch or Android using any software on two different Exchange servers. I would gladly pay for software that worked.
I also get the "Caught IO Exception: SSL handshake failure: I/O error during system call, Broken pipe" error. Will there be a fix soon? What's the reason for that? Is there a workaround?
I also get caught with a runtime error, subindex=-1
I am also getting a code 440 error
I am also getting the broken pipe error as well as a stopped unexpectedly error
No response to the broken pipe thing yet?
I am also getting Caught IO Exception: Not trusted server certificate.
Tried to enter the full path of Inbox as suggested. It did not work. :(
The broken pipe error is now fixed. As for the other errors, we need one or more test logins to different Exchange environments so that we can test further fixes. See issue 29 for more info.
Caught IO Exception: connection reset by peer
Could someone please explain how can I get this working?
Broken pipe here too ...
Broken pipe here too as well
Broken pipe remains, guys...
Broken pipe issue.
