History

The name EvaProperties is composed of the first name of the project owners girl friend and the idea of creating something more powerfull than java.util.Properties.

EvaProperties was a subproject of EvaServer (an AJAX framework) in 2006. Due to its generic nature, the project was used by other applications and therefore became a top level project itself.

In 2009 the project moved from a self-hosted Trac environment to Google Code.
