How to use the WoW addon with this plugin

These instructions are based on a Boss Kills DKP approach.

The addon offering the best compatibility is by Eris over at mldkp.net.

Settings

Min Item Quality to Log - EPIC (set this to EPIC or else you will log all greens and blues as well)

Min Item Quality to Ask Cost For - EPIC (Prompts for DKP cost at loot time)

Min Item Quality to Get Cost For - OFF (I think) Don't recall exactly what this is for.

Auto Create Raid - Checked (Saves you from starting the raid initially.)

Min Item Quality to Group - OFF (Groups identical items together.)

Auto Zone - Checked (Detects which instance you are running)

Save Player Extended Info - Checked (Adds class, race, etc. for new raid members)

Save Item Tooltips - Unchecked (Not used by the plugin)

Auto Boss - On Boss Kill (Determines which boss is killed)

Log Attendees - On Boss (Logs who was online at time of boss kill)

User Server Time - Checked

Time Zone - -8 (this is your timezone relative to GMT. My server is Pacific Standard Time so we stick to its timezone)

If there is an option for Use 24 hour time, make sure it's checked. This keeps the raid in order on the website because it records it in 24h time.

Using CT_RaidTracker

To open the raid tracking window type /rt in WoW

If you get prompted:

  1. Enter the DKP cost and click OK.

If you don't get prompted:

  1. Open the raidTracker window using /rt.
  2. See if the item is listed in the lower window.

If the item is listed in the lower window:

  1. Right click it and select Edit Cost.
  2. Enter the DKP cost in the textbox and click OK.

If the item is NOT listed in the lower window:

  1. type in /rt additem.
  2. Shift-click the item as it appeared in the chat window so your line looks like: /rt additem Fathomstone
  3. Press enter to add it to the list.
  4. Right click it and select Edit Looter.
  5. Either choose from the expandable list or just left click Edit Looter and type in the persons name in the textbox.
  6. Right click the item and select Edit Cost.
  7. Enter the DKP cost and click OK.

Parse the Raid - aka: Get the data onto the website

Once your raid has the attendees you want, all of the loot, the looters and what they paid for DKP, then you need to get it on the website.

  1. Right click the raid that was for the START DKP.
  2. Click Show DKP String. You will get a textbox with the big long string already selected.
  3. Copy (Ctrl-C) the string.
  4. In the Administration Panel on the eqdkp website (accessible when you login), in the left hand menu under RAIDS select Import DKP String.
  5. In the big text area, Paste (Ctrl-V) the string in there.
  6. Click Parse String at the bottom.
  7. In the Event box, type in where the raid took place (I use Serpentshrine Cavern, Tempest Keep, etc).
  8. In the note section, type in either "START" or "END" to indicate which raid this is.
  9. Enter 20 in the DKP cost textbox. <-- 20 is the amount of DKP we give at start/end using our system.
  10. Here you can add or remove attendees also using the two lists on the left.
  11. Check to make sure the time is correct in 24h format.
  12. Click "Add Raid" at the bottom.

All done
