Known Issues
- Important: to view all fixed and open bugs click here, if you don't see your specific issue file a bug and a developer will be in contact.
- Note: as known issues are resolved and tested they will be made available via the built-in Mozilla auto-upgrade notification system.
- Mac OS: When auto-upgrading from the original 1.0 release there may be some permissions issues. Please use the full installer to re-install and the installer will correct any future auto-upgrading.
- Windows: In Microsoft Vista there is a known issue that will bring up a Mozilla dialog screen after the first run, just close the screen and relaunch to open the application
- Windows: Maximizing main window with multiple monitors may cause the window to overlap onto the next screen
- Windows: Trying to uninstall Remote may not work and just exits prematurely. This has been resolved and a stub-uninstaller only application has been created and can be downloaded here.
- Linux: The installer needs the execute bit on the file: chmod ug+x
- Linux: We are working on getting glibc 2.3 support working, for the time being glibc 2.4 is required
Tips
- Important: if you tried auto-updating to Remote 1.0 from an earlier Alpha/Beta release and had issues, please re-install it manually using the provided installers.
- Linux: You may have to manually associate downloading EMX files with the new download manager

I'm using the Mac Intel version of Remote. I keep getting prompted to install 1.0.0.2. The first time I installed it, I was unable to get my downloads working. I kept clicking on the whole album, individual tracks, and from My Downloads. The tracks would not download. I had to revert to the old version to get the downloads to work.
When I do "About" on the version I have currently installed, I don't see the exact version number. It says:
eMusic Remote 1.0 (2007091801).
I installed tried to do a fresh install with 1.0.2. It still didn't fix the problem.
I see output in the Error Console when I click on a download link. This is what I see:
eMusic_DLM: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x8000ffff (NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED) [nsITransfer.init]" nsresult: "0x8000ffff (NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://emusic/content/scripts/eManager.js :: downloadMP3File :: line 779" data: no]
Needless to say, I'm not going to upgrade to 1.0.0.2. Hopefully the next update fixes the problem.
I managed to fix the problem. I read the bug report with the solution.

If you are still experiencing this issue with 1.0.0.2, please do the following: - click the "CLEAR COMPLETED" button from the track, album or audiobooks views - close Remote - reopen Remote
Not an elegant solution, but it works.
I tested both on an individual track and an album.
I re-downloaded songs I had already purchased to test this fix.
ldegruchy: is the download failure still happening after you cleared the list. If so please file an official bug and help us track this, thanks.

The Remote works fine after clicking "CLEAR COMPLETED". I haven't had any issues since.
