
ekalappai
Aim of this project is to create an opensource keyboard manager to type non-english languages.
eKalappai uses popular scim-table format for handling the keyboards. We plan to support other languages soon.

How to install and use development version of eKalappai
- Download and unzip ekalappai-3.0.1-installer.exe
- Double click on the ekalappai-3.0.1-installer.exe, it will guide you through the installation.
- Once installation completes, run eKalappai by double clicking on eKalappai icon in Desktop or from start menu.
- Start typing in Tamil
- To switch to English keyboard, press F2 key.
- To switch back to Tamil keyboard, again press F2 key
- You can also change the short cut(instead of F2 key) to switch between keyboards. Right click on the eKalappai task bar icon, click on settings.
- To change the layout of the keyboard, just click on the eKalappai task bar menu (right hand side bottom portion of your desktop)
- Its being actively developed so soon other missing features will be added.
