In short: The regression you report is because I doubled-back on a fix that allowed dvj to compile with SDL-1.2... Supporting both SDL-1.2 and SDL-2.0 was beyond my time constraints. So, if you want to compile dvj, grab revision 5225 of SDL-2.0, ./configure, make, and sudo make install... I'll be out of touch until Dec ~4, since I'm preparing for a dvj show... The easiest way to fix this: sudo apt-get remove libavcodec-dev libavformat-dev libavutil-dev libswscale-dev Obviously this solution isn't optimal if you are compiling other applications that require these... Packaging is indeed a priority, though there's just a couple more features I want to implement before making dvj more easily accessible to people. It's mostly taking features which already work, and making them extremely user-friendly. I have exceedingly high standards of quality I need to meet, before I release packaged versions. Do let me know if you find any other neat linux VJ software out there! If you find another program to be more useful for your particular needs, reporting this to me would be informative.
