This page provides help in using the websites running the code

Logging in

Coaches who are members of the league can log in. They will be provided with a username and password by the webmaster. Once logged in coaches can submit results for their team and edit their team sheet. They can also enter comments for any matches in which they played and enter their winnings for any given game.

Visitors can still view all the team sheets, statistics and league tables for any of the leagues that have run.

If you want to join a league then you'll need to contact the webmaster or commissioner of that league.

Once logged in you shouldn't need to log in again. If you want to log out because you are worried that someone else may use your account you can log out on the <coach name> Info page.

Submitting Match Results

To submit a match result a coach must first log in, and then go to the results page and follow the link to submit a result.

The submission page allows the coach to select the teams that have played and enter the score, casualties, gate and type of game. The first row applies to the home team, the 2nd row to the away team.

The types of game are:

League: a normal league game Semi Final: a playoff semi Final: The final of a season Other: any other sort of game (friendlies, practice etc) Please note that only league games are considered for calculating team statistics.

Submitting twice - if you double click the submit button you can submit the same match twice. You should inform the webmaster immediately, so he can correct the problem.

Editing your team

This feature is not always available. Some league do not allow coaches to directly change their teams and the commissioner is responsible for doing so

Once logged in an edit link will appear on the league tables allowing coaches to edit their team.

If the team has already been entered using the team editor then you will be taken straight there. Otherwise you will be taken to the default team editor. This allows the coach to change the name, race, rating and either upload a team sheet or specify a url. From here you can also begin to use the team editor.

Within the team editor you can enter all the information you would normally on a team sheet.

If a player is killed during a game, set the players cost to 0, "Apply and Save Changes". If you have already bought a replacement (or are retiring a player) still do this, and then add the new player.

Roster Numbers may be changed for existing players. If you make a mistake and enter a duplicate roster number then then any excess players will be assigned to the first free space in your roster.

Player Name is a straight forward free text field

Position is a drop down list of all the available positions for your given race. If you change race you must "Apply" the changes before the new positions will become available. Changing this select will also update the ma, st, ag, av, skills and cost of the player

Stats can be prefilled by using the position select, or manually entered

Skills can be prefilled by using the position select, or manually entered

mng Is the player missing the next game? If so select mng from the drop down list

nig Number of niggles the player has. Enter a numeric value (so 1 for 1 niggle, 2 for 2 niggles etc)

cp Completions, will automatically update total spps for the player. Enter a numeric value td Touchdowns, will automatically update total spps for the player. Enter a numeric value in Interceptions, will automatically update total spps for the player. Enter a numeric value cas Casualties, will automatically update total spps for the player. Enter a numeric value mvp MVP awards or Exps, will automatically update total spps for the player. Enter a numeric value spps Star Player Points, will be set based on the spp providing fields and cannot be edited

cost in 000s, can be prefilled by using the position select, or manually entered

totals just a summary of the total spps and player cost for the team. Updated when you "Apply" changes

Team Name a free text field

Race a drop down list. If you change your team race (or when you first start a team) hit "Apply" as soon as it has changed. This will update the cost of rerolls and available player positions. You should not change the race of a developed team.

Coach your name. If you want to change your name, contact the webmaster

Tresury 000s in the bank. Enter a numeric value

Money Lent 000s lent to other players. Enter a numeric value. This is loans given, rather than received.

Team Rating Calculated when you "Apply" changes.

Rerolls The number of rerolls you have. The cost of rerolls is determined by your race, the total is recalculated when you "Apply" changes.

Fan Factor, Assistant coaches, cheerleaders, apothecary The number you have, the total is recalculated when you "Apply" changes.

Wizard Not currently used as wizards may only be freebooted.

Total Cost of Team The total is recalculated when you "Apply" changes.

Team Colours These are the html colours used in both the team editor and team viewer. They can either be constants (e.g. black) or hexadecimal (hex) values. Hex values are pairs of numbers (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E,F) which indicate the intensity of colour. The first pair represent red, the middle two green and the last blue. So #ff0000 is pure red, #000000 is black, #ffffff white and #0000ff blue. The background is the normal background colour, text the text colour. The title background and text refer to the title areas of the page (e.g "Total Cost of Team"). The border colours refer to the highlighting used to create a raised border effect.

Apply Changes and Save This permanently updates your team sheet. If you dont do this your changes will be forgotten.

Match Record You can change your comments for any matches you have played. You must click the "Update Match" button to change each match record separately.

Miscellaneous

In general problems should be reported to the webmaster, along with the source for the page.

Quotation Marks - both single and double quotes can cause strange problems with html and the database. If you have problems using these, inform the webmaster, and try again without using quotes.

Updates - sometimes data can become out of sync between the database and the information presented to you. Try refreshing your information if problems persist close all instances of your web browser and start again. Back to Home

I would like to test DoubleSkull? but I'm unable to make it run. I get the source with svn and put it in my /var/www/ directroy. When I browse to the site, I get some php include error. My version is Apache/2.2.9 (Ubuntu) PHP/5.2.6-2ubuntu4.1. I cannot find any installation guide on the wiki, so do you plan to write one ? May you help me testing your source ? Do you plan to set up a demo test site ?

How do you add a new coach to the league?
