dotsx

MATLAB framework for running experiments with MATLAB and Psychophysics Toolbox

Please note that DotsX is no longer under development. As an alternative, please look at Snow Dots, which was designed to replace DotsX.

DotsX is a framework for running primate behavioral experiments with the Psychophysics Toolbox.

It includes a library of MATLAB classes for managing data, trial parameters, graphics, hardware input, etc. It includes a state engine for flow of control during experiments. It includes some MEX functions for collecting data and doing UDP messaging.

It's goal is similar to that of Psychophysics Toolbox--to prevent researchers from having to reinvent the wheel for every new experiment. It makes additional assumptions about how an experiment will be run and attempts to factor additional behavior.

DotsX is currently developed in Joshua Gold's Neuroscience lab at the University of Pennsylvania.
