About

Inspired by the Freee Art Collective and the artist/curator Ben Jones's work with the phrase "don't let the media have the monopoly on the freedom of speech", this is a small program that displays the words from the phrase and an image.

The aim of this project is to create a small program that can express the message of the Free Art Collective's project and that can be run on as many different platforms as possible, including mobile phones.

Currently Available

Download version 2 by clicking on the links to the right. Source code is available in the zip file you'll download.

Updates

Updates will happen infrequently. Sorry. If you want to join in contact me - I'm currently working in Processing but that's because I don't really know any other cross-platform stuff.

Version 2

  • Random background colour. Yay!
  • Text in different place for last element in list

Version 1

  • Image file added to project to make Olympic edition
  • All code written. With whitespace, that makes 46 lines of code. Tiny!
