Computerbank Database ProjectNote: THIS Django PROJECT WAS ABANDONED in 2009. The people with Python experience left the project. Michael Cassidy did some experiments with a much more cut down project GLOM. It took us 3 months to implement GLOM and Computerbank is very happy with it. Computerbank is based in Melboure Australia. We are a not for profit organisation recycling computers with Linux and open source software. Recycled, restored computers are sold from $15 to people on a low income. The database projectThe Django database project commenced in April 2007. The aim is to design and build a web based database to cover most of Computerbank's work processes. The database will cover contact details, sales, user support, free training, computers, inventory and eWaste. Our code is open source. We hope the completed database code will be used by other non profit computer recycling groups. Volunteers working on this project
