Timeline

The refactored code is currently on hold until the Unicode work is finished, but there's been plenty of discussion and it's quite obvious that the new code will reduce quite a lot of complexity. I've kept it in mind and made some implementation notes, but for the forseeable future I'll be working with the existing QuerySet.
