Designed with developers in mind, DexiosDE aims to provide a core which makes use of plug-ins for most of its features, keeping everything as separate as possible. DexiosDE provides a core environment for others to develop for, not having to worry about window management. Things like task bars, start menus, settings manager, et cetera, are kept separate from the window manager, therefore allowing for full replacement of parts.

This project is currently only a concept to hopefully soon be a reality. It will be heavily dependent on the Qt4 GUI library, and may make use of its plug-in system.
