This project contains documentation, tools, and sample configuration files to help you get D'Bridge, the powerful Fidonet mailer, running under Linux.
What is D'Bridge?
D'Bridge is a popular FTN (Fidonet technology network) mailer. It takes care of transferring Fidonet netmail and echomail between your system and others. D'Bridge has a number of powerful features that make it particularly useful, including a "Plug and Play" mode for configuring new Fidonet nodes.
Why would I want to run D'Bridge under Linux?
D'Bridge is powerful, stable, and actively maintained and supported, all of which set it apart from other FTN mailers available under Linux.
But I thought it only ran under DOS?
D'Bridge will run under most versions of Windows, in addition to running under DOS. There is not currently a version that runs natively on Linux.
The documents available here will help you get D'Bridge running in an emulation environment (specifically, DOSemu), so you will in fact be running it under DOS.
