Create your own custom Cannons levels!
Phase-Support
Updated Apr 24, 2009 by pindi.al...@gmail.com

Using the Cannons level editor, you can create your own custom levels that can be played in Cannons. It is contained in a separate executable - cannonseditor.exe.

Using the editor

Use the Control key to bring up the main menu along the left side of the screen. From here, you can select a type of terrain to place. You can place normal terrain of various dimensions, as well as walls, unstable walls, and invincible walls. Slope tiles allow you to conveniently create slopes without having to individually place tiny tiles. These tiles are automatically converted to the proper blocks once the level is run in Cannons.

To place the terrain currently under your cursor, simply left click. Right click on a piece of terrain to remove it. If there is a big area of terrain you want to remove, use the eraser tool. Select it in the menu, then left clock and drag over the areas you want to remove.

You indicate where cannons should be placed by placing spawn points. Cannons will be randomly assigned to spawn points at the start of the level. As a general rule, place at least eight spawn points so that a typical amount of cannons will be able to fit.

Select "save" from the menu to save your level. It will be saved as a plain text file in an easy-to-understand format. You can load saved levels with the load button.

By default, terrain you are placing will snap to a grid to make it easier to align them. You can toggle the snap on and off by selecting the appropriate option in the main menu.

Playing created levels

Now that you've created your super-cool levels, you'll want to play them in Cannons. To do so, simply select the "Custom" option after pressing "Continue" in the store. Navigate to your saved level and open it. Enjoy!
