db-schema2omnigraffle is an applescript for creating schemas from mysql databases in OmniGraffle automatically.

Requirements:

• Omnigraffle
• mysql command line client

Example

There are no files released yet, but you can check out the latest version from the Subversion repository.

At the moment the script draws the selected tables, the primary is drawn in bold, other key are drawn in italic and the script tries to connect foreign keys to their table. At the end, when all tables have been drawn, the script uses the auto-layout feature of Omnigraffle to arrange all tables on the canvas. This is not an optimal solution, but you are in most cases going to modify the drawing anyway.
