In CL 11227038 we changed a number of tests to use named arguments, that is, the {} parameter syntax instead of the [] parameter syntax.

For optimal test coverage, we should copy most of these tests to have a similar version that tests the same properties for optional arguments, that is, the [] parameter syntax.
