The goal of this project is to develop software for managing a stock portfolio specifically for the Indian stock market. Why specifically for the Indian stock market ? Well, my dad was trying to manage his portfolio and I was just unable to find any software that could help him (due to some unique data that is specific to the Indian stock market) to manage his portfolio - and so I decided to create this project to help him out. It will be another challenge to finally convince him to use a piece of software that I have written ;-)

Aside : I am also using this project to help myself become familiar with various Java/J2EE/Web technologies - and eventually use this project as a "teaching/learning" tool for others to learn/use these technologies.
