Information for new users of Daisy.

Note: These instructions assume you use MS Windows, there is another page for Linux, MacOS X and other Unix users.

Fetch the latest Daisy version from the Featured Downloads box at the rigth side of the front page, and then follow the instructions for configuring TextPad.

  • Examine what the installer installs. Explore the directory structure.
  • Read the tutorial.
  • Get familiar with the reference manual.
  • Do the exercises.
  • Read about the science behind Daisy.

Should I install the files in the C:\daisy rather than inside the program files? It seems complicated to go into program files folder to access the exercise files...thank you.

The Explore link under the Start menu that will take you to the right folder.
