07 Aug 2007 :- Back from vacation.

28 Jun 2007 :- I completed the spike for compile time structure validation checking. That is a check on structures passed to fetchstruc for compliance with the convention and to ensure that only supported types are declared within the structure. I have not merged the spike into the main code base but will do so when I get back from Europe.

I will be vacationing in Europe for the month of July, and I may not have much net access so if you were planning on contacting me, and don't receive a response, please accept my humble apologies. I will be back in August.

If you have been keeping an eye on developments, much of the interface has been completed but there is still that 20% to done. I am limiting the feature set so I can get a version of the library suitable for my own use. I will call that V1.0. I'm hoping to complete V1.0 features in August and release BETA-1 but can't promise anything, I'm not Nostradamus :)

So far, there are two DBAPI spec features that I originally planned for V1.0 which will no longer be making an appearance. Calls to stored procedures and the date format classes.

22 Jun 2007 :- Working on error/exception handling. This is not a trivial task so I expect it to take a significant number of days worth of man-hours to complete. I need to dissect the workings of SQLite by generating use-cases and observing the results. If anyone has intricate knowledge of the situations for when SQLite returns errors, it would be of great help in bringing this interface to release status.

On another note, if plans are successful, I will be unable to work on the project during July, and from August, I will have very little personal time so expect the project to crawl. I have no intention of abandoning the project, I just will not be able to devote as much time to it as I have in the past month.
