# Getting Started with Cube°n

Cube°n Task-Focused Interface for Netbeans

Cube°n makes tasks a first class part of NetBeans by integrating with issue tracking system. It then monitors your work activity to identify what's relevant and improves productivity by reducing searching, scrolling, navigation and sharing expertise.

Getting Started with Cube°n

After successful install go to Windows > Cube°n > and open both Task Explorer and Task Repository view

"....Windows > Cube°n > and open both Task Explorer and Task Repository view...."

I installed, and I'm not seeing the Cubeon menu inside the Window menu on NetBeans? (v.6.5.1)

This page is horribly out of date. In order to install using the normal plugin/update infrastructure, do the following:

1) Tools -> Plugins -> Settings.

2) Click 'Add' to add a new update center

3) Name is 'CubeOn?' or whatever else you want

4) Set URL to: http://cubeon.googlecode.com/svn/updates/latest.xml

5) Click OK

6) Go to 'Available Plugins' and click 'Reload'

You can now select the relevant CubeOn? plugins from the list of available plugins.

Works with 6.7 as of 2009-07-08

However if you have to use it with patched Trac xmlrpc 1.6 you need to use cube'n 1.1 dev version which can't be installed as peterhoeg described.

  1. Download http://cubeon.googlecode.com/files/dev-23-04.ziplatest version
  2. Unzip it wherever you like
  3. Open Tools > Plugins
  4. Select tab Downloaded
  5. Click Add Plugins, go to folder where you unziped latest version and select all nbm files
  6. Select desired nbm files and click Install
