CRANES (Context- & Resource-Adaptive Network-Embedded Sensors) is an extension framework for the JiST/SWANS (Java in Simulation Time / Scalable Wireless Ad hoc Network Simulator) discrete event simulator and aims to provide a simulation framework for wireless sensor networks. It is based on the SIDnet-SWANS (Simulator and Integrated Development Platform for Sensor Networks Applications) and provides a flexible and adaptive communication architecture optimized for wireless sensor network applications.
