Contact Owner is an Android app that displays your (or a friend's) contact information on the "lock screen" of your Android device, so that if you happen to lose it the finder knows how to contact you.

Select yourself (or your friend) from your list of contacts, then select which information you want shown and (optionally) customize your message. Contact Owner is a "fire and forget" tool: once you set it up the contact information will keep being displayed even after you restart your device as long as the application is installed.

Installing

Scan this QR code with your Android device to install the latest release from the Android Market:



Installing from the Market (as opposed to downloading the package from here) will get you the latest stable version and update notifications when new releases are made.

How does it work?

Contact Owner works by setting the NEXT_ALARM_FORMATTED Android system property (which is normally supposed to contain the human readable text of the next alarm's time) and then jumping through some hoops to make the lock screen display it at all times.
