Communical acts as an interface to Google Calendar, Maps, and Local Search in order to provide a customizable community-oriented events calendar.

Design goals

• Rely on Google for data persistence
• Minimize external dependencies on the server

These will allow Communical to easily be deployed in even the most basic environment.

• The Zend Framework has been chosen to reduce 're-inventing the wheel.'

Demo

Communical is initially being developed for use by Michael Greene and G-Rad, a community blogging site connected to Grand Rapids, MI, USA. A Communical Demo running the latest source code can be found there. This is not a production installation.
