GDB stub can be used for remote debugging on an embedded target. This project aims to provide all the necessary tools to facilitate debugging with GNU GDB on Coldfire 5307 CPU.

Debugging within the Eclipse IDE can also be supported with the help of Zylin plugin. GDB stub was also successfully made to work on David Grant's emulator. using the patches, listed in the downloads section. The development model, combining the GDB stub, the emulator, and the Eclipse IDE, provides a powerful toolkit for the embedded development for the Coldfire CPU.
